The Foreign Language Resource Unit (FLRU)
The Foreign Language Resource Unit (FLRU) at Suranaree University of Technology is a key element in our plans to develop the foreign language abilities of students studying English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese. The FLRU houses a wide variety of foreign language learning resources, including books, CDs, films, and other learning materials. Students are encouraged through the use of such materials to enhance their understanding of foreign cultures as well as of languages. The principle behind the creation of the FLRU is self-access learning, guiding students towards autonomy and self-directed learning throughout their lives. Faculty and FLRU staff are always available to provide guidance to learners and the FLRU is also used as a teacher training center.
